Impact International is committed to changing lives around the world to leave a LEGACY for future generations. We do this in different ways dependent upon the needs within a given nation.
Orphanages
Fathering orphans (Mexico & India) (others pending in 2009) is at the very heart of the IMPACT mission. Children, especially orphans played a major part of the teaching of Jesus. Transformed young lives trained in Christian principles for leadership roles within the local and national communities, as well as Christian leadership is all a part of leaving a legacy for the generations to come.
Leadership Training
Young people represent the future to IMPACT and we have created the Leadership Challenge for the inner city youth of Hampton Roads, VA. to challenge the cities youth to reach new heights in academics, faith, community service and leadership for the future. Ten middle and high school young people will be monitored for years to come to challenge them to attain greatness for the future and thus perpetuate the legacy for their generation and beyond. Other cities will be challenged in the future.
Children
Whilst IMPACT does not only work with children, yet they naturally best represent the future. With the world’s children in crisis, Impact seeks to make a difference. Many of the world’s children are starving (see JAM), many are abused (IMPACT has a plan for working with the sex-slave trade in the future), many are being bullied and abused in the classroom (see our associate FISCHY MUSIC). In Scotland FISHCY MUSIC is making a difference.
Biblical Entrenpreneurship
Ngwiza Mnkandla an Impact board member and others within the Impact organization have experience in teaching nationals in third world nations how to ‘fish’ for themselves. This is an IMPACT tool that provides training through the biblical entrepreneurship course for national young entrepreneurs to start businesses to help provide for themselves, their families, their churches and their communities. Impact has Created A Kingdom Endowment and Marketplace Ministry to assist this model.
National Transformation
With much of the third world in conflict and disarray there is a need to assist developing countries find a model for transformation. National transformation is accomplished by providing funds (see Creating A Kingdom Endowment) and expertise through partnering organizations to establish orphanages, AIDS clinics, farming skills, education and other national assistance
These represent a few ways that IMPACT is making a deposit into young lives with the intent of leaving a LEGACY that will impact the generations of the future.
