  • Founder Alastair Geddes and Ngwiza Mnkandla meet regularly for strategic planning sessions for the future of Impact and the model of community and national global transformation

  • MAY 2, 2009 Impact International convenes its annual Board Meeting in Newport News Virginia

  • MAY 1, 2009 GOLF INVITATIONAL – this annual event has become a highlight for the board of directors. With four male members of the board – two internationals (Alastair and Ngwiza) and two Americans (Wayne and Brent) Impact has its own Ryder Cup. The series is tied at one apiece. Since I Alastair am writing this news report – we hope the internationals will win this year’s event


  • MAY 2, 2009 – The Virginia Impact Banquet at the Marriott Hotel in Newport News. This is not a fundraiser, but a vision casting event for guests. It is an invitation only event to apprise friends of Impact model of community and national transformation

  • Joshua Pillai (see PEOPLE) has joined the Impact team to pursue the transformation model. He oversees 5,200 house churches in India and his leadership extends well beyond India is country of nationality. Impact is thrilled with this new relationship for the Kingdom


  • The CAKE (Creating A Kingdom Endowment) model of funding is taking on new meaning through Kingdom Add-On.  The model calls for adding to one’s business and giving the add-on to the Kingdom.  A number of businesses have requested assistance from Impact to make this happen and this promises to bring significant funds in the future to assist he model of transformation


  • Alastair and Ngwiza make plans for a visit to Zimbabwe and Angola to forge ahead with the transformation of communities in these needy nations


  • INDIA will again host Alastair later in 2009


  • AGAPE LIFE LINE benefits from the relationship with Impact.  Sam and Beena Gilbert (see PEOPLE). Late in 2008 Impact presented the legacy curriculum for the very first time and it was so well received that a partnership was formed for an ongoing relationship – they currently have 19 children.  The orphanage is not really an orphanage in the traditional sense it is a family run home with Sam and Beena as ‘parents’ to all the children. Impact plans to adopt this model worldwide.
  • CHRISTY’S HOUSE is launched - Laura Geddes-Paez (See PEOPLE) tragically lost her best friend in 2008 at age 31 years.  Christy, her friend had given much of her effort in recent years to children and Laura (Alastair’s daughter) wanted to work with orphaned children in memory of Christy – Christy’s House will be a name used by Impact to assist children worldwide using the Impact model.
